Minnesota stays the course

Brian Kazarian

GM, Minnesota Wild

Win now. That seems to be the ongoing motto in this NHL. A motto that clearly is one that has a small chance of sucess as only one
team can win the cup.

In Minnesota the motto is much different. "Build now, win forever." It is a motto new Minnesota GM Brian Kazarian has in a frame on
his wall in his office. "The bottom line is we have a team that isn't quite ready for solid contention year in and year out on paper. But
I intend to get this team to where it needs to be with shrewd deals." added Brian Kazarian.

The team is built around solid goaltending and a tight checking defense. Where the problems occur is on offense. Where Marian
Gaborik leads the team. But he isn't deemed the most important part of the puzzle. "The most important piece of the puzzle is clearly
the supporting cast. Guys like Dupuis and Brunette are the ones who will either make this team a playoff team of a non playoff
team.' Coach lemaire stated.

So what is in store for this team? The first thing is to try and decide who will be the number one goalie and stick with them possibly
opening up a deal for the other goalie to go for some offensive or defensive talent.

"Regardless of what we do personel wise, we are going to shock some people this season." GM Brian Kazarian finished with.
