Dallas Close to Major Move?

Matt Weir

GM, Dallas Stars

Fresh out of the rumor mill, word has it from some very credible sources, that newly annointed Dallas GM Matt Weir is very very close to making a major move.

"I don't usually like to comment on these things, but there were some very very interesting offers made to me today that I will be considering tonight." Weir stated earlier today. "Right now both deals are geared exactly the way I want to proceed with this team."

According to various sources, talks are centering around All-Star dman Wade Redden. One deal apparently will see the Stars increase their first round choices in the upcoming draft while adding a solid you defender. The other deal sends a warm body to the Stars, a top notch prospect, and some lower picks.

Decisions, decisions.... will the Dallas faithful march on the head office with pitchforks and stakes if the Stars present competitive level declines in favor of a strong future. No matter which trade goes down, it seems that may very well be the case.
