Florida-
Florida Panthers were humilated in game 1 against Toronto Mapleleafs in an 4-0 loss. Ed Belfour stood on his head while Panthers outshot the Leafs.
It was critical going into game 2 that the Panthers score the first goal and Panthers lines were shuffled around going into game 2 hoping to kick start the team. Olli Jokinen was demoted to 3rd line duties after having an -4 game in Game 1. Craig Conroy was given an chance to play between Jarome Iginla and Adam Deadmarsh on the 2nd line and they clicked to score the game winning goal and insurance goal. Conroy picked up the game winner while Iginla and Deadmarsh had 2 points each. Weight centered Mogilny and Rolston an line which had great success before Weight was injured midway through the season. They scored the important 1rst goal of the game. With the offense going only thing left was getting Roberto Luongo going and he played an great game only allowing 1 goal showing some game saving saves late in the 3rd. Suprisingly enough in the series so far the Panthers have outhit the hard nosed Leafs.
"We played 100% all night long and were rewarded. If play the rest of the series with same kinda commitment it'll be an close series" coach Jacques Martin
