The Colorado Avalanche have been looking for the next great General Manager to bring the Stanley Cup back to Colorado. Finally they found their man. The man is Dwayne Pogue. A relative unknown to the other GMs in the league, but he does come in with a number of years experience. During Mr. Pogue's first press conference he was quoted as saying:
"I'm going to do everything it takes to bring the Cup back to Colorado, and that includes keeping and aquiring some of the most talented players in the game today."
Mr. Pogue has a hard road ahead of him. With a high payroll and many great players hoping to get ice time, he is going to have to make a few tough decisions about the direction of his team. But he does bring us promise of the most exciting and entertaining product in sports today. Well I guess that we will just have to see if he can follow through with that or not.
