Florida Panthers had a log jam at right wing with Miroslav Satan, Trent Hunter, Chris Clark, Marek Svatos and Ryan Shannon. It was only a matter of time one of them was dealt and Svatos seemed to be the odd man out after training camp.
Indeed Svatos was the odd man out as today Florida Panthers announced two trades with Nashvilel Predators first sending Svatos along with couple prospects for dman stud Ryan Suter and a pick.
"I've been after Suter since he entered the league and finally we've got a defense together that i'm pleased with. I hated trading Svatos as I know he'll rebound but we had way too many right wingers and I couldnt pass up on a chance to finally get Suter" said Panthers GM
Later in the day Panthers completed there 2nd trade with Nashville sending Trevor Letowski for goalie Craig Anderson. Are Tim Thomas days numbered with Panthers?
