Ottawa Senators sign Hilbert

Grant Lucas

GM, Ottawa Senators

The new General Manager of the Ottawa Senators has announced the signing of Andy Hilbert for a 4 year contract, rumoured to be worth around $900 000 per year. Andy Hilbert played 11 games with the Senators, racking up 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points. He also managed a plus two rating.
"I am very happy that Andy has decided to stay with us" commented Alex, "I know he will be great for our future".
Obviously a very highly conteroversial move, as some critics announce Alex's first move as General Manager of the Senators as destructive.
"Hilbert wouldn't of recieved one offer from another team and would of been forced to take a 200k paycut" stated one anonymous critic. Alex answered these critics by stating that know one knew if he would receive higher/lower offers, and if more, the Senators would have had to pay more to keep him.
Andy seems to like the deal, and the Senators.
"I have a feeling big things can happen here in Ottawa, and I will work my upmost hardest for the Ottawa Senators" stated Andy Hilbert.

Only time will tell if this deal was worth it for the Ottawa Senators.
