After Panthers GM JL challenged Roberto Luongo to show he's more than a MVP in regular season he wanted Luongo to take his game to the next level (Patrick Roy) after the Leafs series against the Capitals and Luongo has done just that. Florida took the 3rd game of the series lead by Roberto Luongo in the 4-1 win. Luongo has been the 1rst star of each Panthers game against Capitals and hold them to only 2 goals in 3 games. In the Panthers 4-1 win also something much needed happen too as Rick Nash finally decided to show up and got 2 goals. Mike Modano continued his strong post season play with a goal and assists.
"We have played perfectly against the Caps. They beat us in regular season but now when it matters the most were showing up. Everyone on the team is doing there role and to win that has to happen. I'm very surprised how quite Dan Fillion has been through out the series. It seems they have given up. No wonder there playing so awful with there GM MIA" Panthers GM
