BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo Sabres traded away backup Alexander Auld at the deadline. Without acquiring another backup they decided to call up goaltender Adam Dennis from Rochester. However, Dennis was not called up just to sit on the bench and watch Ryan Miller. Dennis got his first OTHL start on Tuesday night, and played well, despite the Bruins earning a 4-2 win. Dennis stopped 22 of 26 shots, and helped the Sabres kill off 7 of 8 powerplays. Derek Roy, who was also called up after the deadline due to the departures of Gelinas and Murray, recorded his 7th goal of the season. Roy now has 7 goals, 5 assists in 59 games. Jim Vandermeer had 2 assists in the game. He has been a pleasent surprise since coming over from Chicago in the Jay McKee deal, recording 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 pts in the 8 games he has played for the Sabres. Buffalo will travel to Montreal to take on the Canadiens on Wednesday night. Ryan Miller will get the start in net.
