New Dallas GM Matt Weir addressed the media for the first time yesteday He made it very clear this team, going forward will take on a new look.
"I have been brought in for one specific reason, to create a winner. So far this year, this club has been mediocre at best, and mediocrity isn't in my game plan. My favorite saying, is go big or stay home", Weir said in an earlier interview. "There really is no trade offer right now that I won't look at. Looking at this roster, we have some strengths I can use in the future, and some holes that need to be addressed."
The new Dallas GM then went on to address the other GM's of the league to make it quite clear, there were very few untouchables in his lineup.
"If you have an offer, make it. I have no idea if star players on this team have been available before, but they are now. There is no offer I will not consider. There will be a lot of teams making a cup run this year, and I know we have some pieces that may fit their puzzle."
Things sure do seem to be heating up in Dallas.
