Kid Having Fun Despite Losses Mounting Up

Rod Edwards

GM, Minnesota Wild

In Dallas last night The Minnesota Wild were defeated 4-2, despite a rather more than average atmosphere in the Wild dressingroom before the game. Thing is the dressingroom seemed very similar after the loss as well. Rock music a blazing and laughter through out.

I asked coach Jacques Lemaire whats up with the mood with the players he answered " We have learned to except out feats whether for the good or the bad. The motto right now is did you work your hardest, if so this is all that can be asked right now. We are a learning team. A team of boys amongst men in the league and have shown great progress. We are not a walk over on most nights and can come up to bite you if you are not willing to work for the win."

Cale Hulse the captain of the team and a man with the job to help the kids along had this to say, " Sure I would love to win more games, and at this stage of my career I want to win, but to be honest with you I am having the time of my life watching these kids develop and in some ways it would be more satisfying to be a part of this team when they do win it all then to just go on one of those made for the cup teams. These kids rock !"

Looking forward to our next game and to continued improvement !
