Nash 3rd Trick. Forsberg Walks

Jan Lapiolahti

GM, Florida Panthers

Florida-

After humiliating 6-3 loss the night before to Pittsburgh Penguins the Panthers had to redeem them self in important divisional game. After 1 period it seemed like the same Panthers were out there as the game before going down 3-0 against Caps a team on a 7 game losing streak. In the 2nd and 3rd the game turned around. Mogilny and Iginla shifted Panthers into gear and Rick Nash put them in over drive as he scored his 3rd hat-trick of the season and leading leading 29th goal in his 45 game of the season. If he keeps up his pace the OTHL could have there 1rst ever 50 goal scorer or even 60 goal scorer. Chris Osgood was in net again and got his first win as a Panther.

Roberto Luongo was rested as the team gears up for one of the biggest games of there season against divisional rival Tampa Bay Lighting who are only 6 points behind Panthers for division lead. Roberto Luongo will get the start against Lightning.

No Forsberg Next Season
Reportable Panthers pressed hard to sign Peter Forsberg but his salary demands were out of hand. He wanted the max 7.8M$ "No player in the world is worth the max. No team really gunning for the cup can tie up so much payroll into one player" commented Panthers GM
