Isles drop 6th in a row in Montreal

James Jones

GM, New York Islanders

Montreal, PQ -- The Isles are in a tailspin, but one thing's for certain, they cannot get any worse. The reason being is that they are no officially in last place in the league, with only 3 points this season (1 behind Carolina). There are rumors flying that the job of coach Keenan is in serious jeopardy, but those were quickly refuted by GM Jones in Montreal. "Yes i'm very disappointed in our performance so far", said a tired-looking Jones. "However, it would be unfair to attritube our woes to coach Keenan or his staff. This team is just plain and simple a bad team. We knew it at the outset. We are young, inexperienced, and also have two pro roster players holding out selfishly. Of course we are always looking to make some trades, but we are not going to sacrifice our youth to move up two spots this year. We are sticking to our plan, and if anything we will move more veterans for youth. We have a great young crop coming up, and we will stick with them." Although it seems the future is the greatest concern of the General Manager, we in the media will see if this current addition of the Isles can turn it around soon....
