Buffalo, NY~ The Buffalo Sabres have made another minor trade, a move that they hope will upgrade their depth on the forward lines. Coming to Buffalo is former Sabre Mike Grier, who was traded late last season to Ottawa. Going to the Senators is recently acquired Richard Park, and promissing youngster Kurtis Foster. "We hated to have to trade Foster, but we really wanted to add Grier. We love the type of player he is, and feel that his assets could be very valuable to us. Foster was stuck behind a plethera of young defenders, and despite him being ready for the OTHL, we felt he was more valuable to us as a trade asset that on the ice. That's just how this bussiness works. But we are glad to get Grier back, and he should be a welcomed addition." said GM Fisher form his office in downtown Buffalo.
In 83 games last season, Grier recorded 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points. He was a -10, and collected 28 PIM.
