The Pittsburgh penguins have been hot lately with 4 wins and a tie in their last 5 games. The Penguins are currently sitting in 5th spot, 2 pts behind the 4th place Flyers who they recently defeated 3-1. If the standings were to finish the way they are today, the Penguins would be facing the battle of Pennsylvania against the Flyers.
The Penguins took home a big 6-1 win due to some strong play from Kimmo Timonen, Olaf Kolzig and Konstantin Koltsov. The Penguins have 4 games remaining and only need 2 pts in order to clinch a playoff birth.
