A Wild Disaster ?

Rod Edwards

GM, Minnesota Wild

Since the trade deadline past the Wild expectation has been high. GM Edwards is quoted as saying, " I thought we had everything under control, added some serious veteran leadership in areas where I felt we were lacking and made some key moves during the season to make the lines IMO much stronger. Yet with all this the club has gone into a funk and done a complete turnabout on us. We are still in most games either tieing one on or losing just barely so being competetive is not a problem. I could blame the goaltending but really they have done their job. Just about every aspect of the game is fine except we cannot win !! The playoffs are slipping away fast. I am completely at a lost for words. And whats worse is I sacrificed a lot of my youth to get into the playoffs believing in this team. If I was management I ould be looking to can my ass as well if this team does not pull through for the playoffs. They had better pick it up now or they can start booking their vacations soon and for some a new career could be what is needed. Repeat performances are not tolerated as we move those who will not play before they get a chance to burn us twice. !!!!! " Some say the GM might have to live by those rules as well.
