The Coyotes traded Lw Cory Stillman last night to the Detroit Red Wings. In return they got another lw Fredrik Modin. Modin has been a target for some time now and finally he was able to be moved to Phoenix.
"We are very pleased to get a quality guy like Fredrik to our team. Don't get me wrong, Cory was a great guy too. But now we are able to play the 1st line with Foppa, Fredrik and Marcus. The fact that they all know each other and are from the same country will be a bonus for them we hope." said Gm Jorgensen.
Modin is no stranger to playing with fellow sweedes. He formed the first line some years back in Toronto with Sundin and Hoglund or was it Renberg.........ehh.......well.....point is he tried it before.
First test for the new 1st line in Phoenix will be in two days against the Kings
