The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that Eddie Olczyk has been fired as head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins only to be replaced by John Muckler.
Muckler was signed to a two year deal worth 1.8 million dollars. "We're excited about the change." replied GM Brent Bellio. "Eddie was a great guy, but we need a little more experience behind our bench. Our team has change alot since last April. John is the kind of guy we need to get the young kids motivated."
In other news the Penguins shipped Ric Jackman to the Tampa Bay Lightning inexchange for Darryl Sydor. "We wanted to get someone who can step in right away and make an impact. Darryl will help out our PK tremendously. Were glad to have him." said GM Brent Bellio
